Prior to his current role, Eddie was Senior Vice President and General Manager, Pharmaceuticals UK from 2001. Before that he was Vice President and General Manager, SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals, Canada, and a member of SmithKline Beecham’s Executive Management Team for North America.
He joined the company in 1988 and was based in the UK before moving to the US Pharma business in 1994, where he was responsible for Market Research. He later became Vice President and Director of Anti-Infectives Marketing, then Vaccines Marketing in the US, before assuming his role in Canada.
In his current role, Eddie has led GSK’s insight and response to changing economic conditions and the challenge of market access; creating new and unique capabilities and leading GSK’s Pharma Europe through a period of unprecedented change.
Eddie is an advisory board member of Opportunity Now, an organisation for employers who are committed to creating an inclusive workplace for women, a Director of the British Pharma Group and is also a member of the Executive Committee of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations.
He holds an honours degree in Chemistry and Management Studies from the University of London, and an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management in the UK. He is married with three daughters.
