There is a significant change to the way in which GSK's customers expect us to do business with them. We have to respond to this change to ensure success in the future by creating a simplified, regionalised, customer focused high performing supply chain within the European Pharmaceuticals business. A new supply chain organisation has been created to meet this challenge with a Supply Chain Hub (SCH) for demand forecasting, supply chain planning and replenishment, and sales and operation planning at the heart of the operation. The SCH is organised by therapy area with a member of each therapy team responsible for managing the Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) for a group of markets – there are six therapy areas and five market goupings covering all 35 European markets.
