Andrew Witty gave the keynote speech regarding the Pharmaceutical Industry and GSK’s strategy and participated in the Q&A session at the Goldman Sachs Thirty-First Annual Health Care Conference on 16 June in California.  The luncheon presentation was attended by over 200 institutional investors.

Citi Investment Research Global Health Care Conference
Simon Harford, SVP, Finance, Emerging Markets, participated on a panel at the 2010 Citi Investment Research Global Health Care Conference in New York on May 26, 2010. The panel was entitled “The Opportunities and Challenges of Emerging Markets for Health Care”. The panel discussed the potential market opportunities and pitfalls in pricing and reimbursement in Brazil, Russia, India, China, Mexico and Turkey.

Abbas Hussain, President, Emerging Markets, gave a presentation at the BoA/Merrill Lynch Healthcare Conference on 13 May 2010 in New York. The presentation was attended by over 100 institutional investors and portfolio managers.  Abbas provided an overview of GSK's emerging markets strategy.

Dr Thomas Breuer, Senior Vice President Global Clinical R&D and Vaccine Development, GSK Biologicals gave a presentation at the Exane BNP Paribas Annual Investor Healthcare Conference on 11 May 2010 in Paris.  GSK were one of 14 healthcare companies (including Sanofi-Aventis, Shire, Roche and Novartis) presenting to around 50 institutional investors and portfolio managers.  Thomas provided an overview of GSK’s vaccines business and late-stage pipeline.
